The Pella girls track team will host the Tulip Time Relays today and for the first time this season will compete on their home track. The girls have had a strong season to date and coach Dak Rasmussen says they’ve been scoring points in multiple events and the underclassmen have really stepped up to help the team. He notes runners like Marielle Gaiser who is a sophomore competing in the 400 hurdles, Nadine Van Zomeren and Kati Sunderman in the sprint events, and Maddy Davis and Victoria Kleven in the distance events have been very strong and consistently scoring points and helping the team. He also notes their shuttle hurdle relay team which consists of freshman and sophomores has been strong and continues to improve. Pella Christian, and PCM are also scheduled to compete at Pella today. The Tulip Time Relays get underway at 5pm today at Pella High School.
