April 5-9th was Severe Weather Awareness Week and focused on flash flooding, storm warnings, tornados, thunderstorms and family preparedness. In addition to our informational news stories on each section of severe weather the KNIA KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was also on alert on several occasions Monday and Tuesday of this past week when severe thunderstorm warnings were in affect in the area.
