With spring weather appearing to have arrived for good, there are many things gardeners can be doing to work and prepare their gardens and flower beds. Marilyn Rietveld Ebbers, a Master Gardner from Pella, says now is the best time to move and divide perennials. She adds that mid-April is also a good time to plant shrubs and trees because of the spring rains that will help them grow in the early season.
