The Marion County Board of Supervisors received a presentation and request during their special session Monday in regards to placement of a framed 1934 United States Constitution lithograph in the courthouse. Gary Stephenson of Fort Dodge, along with his brother James, have set a goal of placing one of the lithographs in each of Iowa’s 99 counties, after their late father began the project in 1990. The supervisors approved the request and Stephenson will now approach local veterans organizations and historical societies to attempt to obtain sponsorship for the cost of the piece. Stephenson charges $600 for the framed and matted lithographs and hopes to get 10 sponsors at $60 each.
