The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in a special session this afternoon. At the meeting the board discussed necessary fencing repairs on pasture land on the Marion County Care Facility, and will continue to look into options and discuss the matter at a future meeting. They also approved a Federal Aid Agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for a bridge program project on G-40 west of Pleasantville. The majority of the two hour meeting was spent discussing the $1.3 million deficit in the secondary roads department with Marion County Engineer Roger Schletzbaum. The board is looking into options to fix the budget and will continue discussion at future meetings.
