Posted By News On April 19, 2010 @ 6:22 am In Today’s Local News | Comments Disabled

Several area volunteers have been helping to clean up the Hickory Ridge Campground this spring, and more people are invited to join in on the efforts. Knoxville High School Science Teacher Ryan Richardson, along with members of the Science Club and friends worked on clearing out shrubs recently at the campground. In addition, Central College professor Russ Benedict and Jacob Oyen are coordinating a large student work group to help remove invasive shrubs and assist in the massive cleanup campaign on April 20th. Additional workers are needed throughout the spring season to assist with wood chipping of all shrubs collected in the land cleaning project. All interested parties should contact Ron Huelse at 842-6282.
