KNIA/KRLS officially received 3.2 inches of rain over the weekend, resulting in the flooding of English Creek, Whitebreast Creek, and Cedar Creek, and levels are now decreasing. As of 6am Monday, the English Creek was nearly 5 feet over its banks, Whitebreast over 3 feet, and the Cedar Creek levels have dropped drastically in the past 24 hours and is now 2 feet below flood stage. Marion County Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Anderson encourages those encountering flooded roads to turn around and not enter the waters. The Marion County Engineers Office has closed many roads near English Creek, Cedar Creek, and Coal Creek.
