The 2010 Tulip Time festival went off without any significant incidents, according to the Pella Police Department. Pella Police Chief Michael Marcinkowski tells KNIA/KRLS News he’s heard nothing but positive comments about the three-day event, which drew large crowds, despite the cold and windy weather. Traffic in and out of Pella during the event also flowed relatively smoothly, and Marcinkowski thanked the Iowa State Patrol and Marion County Sheriff’s Office for their help in keeping things running smoothly.
