Central Begins Play in NCAA Division III National Tournament Today

The Central College softball team begins play in their 22nd NCAA Division III National Tournament this afternoon in hopes of winning their fifth National Championship.

The 15th ranked Dutch are 30-12 overall and earned the number five seed in their eight team Regional which will be played on familiar ground at Simpson College in Indianola. Central faces fourth seeded Claremont-Mudd Scripps, the California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference champions at 2pm today. The winner advances to play the Linfield vs Chicago winner Friday at 4pm while the two first round losers will play Friday at noon in an elimination game,
