By now everyone that is a sprint car fan has heard of the tragic accident that took the life of driver Jesse Hockett. Hockett was electrocuted while working on his trailer at his race shop in Warsaw, Missouri. Knoxville Raceway Race Director Ralph Captiani remembers Hockett as an outstanding racer. Hockett last raced at Knoxville on May 15th finishing 11th in the A-Main. One of his biggest wins of his career was the Ultimate Challenge last season. He had just completed a weekend last week where he won all three races he was in.
