While they did not get to play yesterday’s Invitational at Pine Knolls due to rain…the Knoxville Girls Golf squad is scheduled to play another round today. The Panthers travel to Pella Christian for a triangular against the Eagles and Newton. Coach Kyle Kincaid says many of the girls are still a work in progress and getting their game to a consistent level is the challenge at practice. Kincaid has been pleased with the effort the girls have been giving this season. He adds a couple of the girls were thrown into a varsity spot probably before they were ready, but due to low numbers, that had to happen. He says his two freshmen Morgan Roy and Krista Rogers have been doing very well. He says Roy played the conference tournament and held her own in first big match. The Knoxville Invitational that was scheduled for yesterday has now been rescheduled for Friday.
