The Knoxville School Board is scheduled to meet Monday in regular session. The agenda includes consideration of the disposition of the old junior high building, bids on the Trabert Center, which houses the GOAL Alternative High School, and the use of electronic correspondence with parents. The Knoxville Historic Preservation Commission was asked to share their thoughts on whether or not efforts should be made to restore the old junior high building, and while they recognize the historical significance of the building, they believe it is in a serious state of disrepair and would be too costly to renovate.
