Knoxville Schools implemented the JMC Student Record Management Software district-wide this year, and principals recently gave a report to the school board about the progress that has been made in electronic communication with parents. Superintendent Dr. Randy Flack says implementing this system not only reduces the cost of paper products, it also is a much quicker means of communication and allows more opportunities for parents, students and teachers to communicate when there are questions or concerns. Flack says in most buildings well over 80% of families have readily available internet access, those households that do not still communicate with the district via paper copies.
