The Pella Christian girls returned to the pitch unsuccessfully after an 11 day layoff falling at Newton 7-0 last night.

The Cardinals scored four first-half goals, then added three goals in the second half. The Eagles’ defense was backed up to its own goal throughout the game as Shelby Sytsma recorded 33 defensive stops and Gabriella Daft tallied 20 defensive stops. Abbey DeBruin made 18 saves in goal for the Eagles as they dropped to 4-9 on the season. The Eagles host 6th ranked Pella Monday night then host Winterset Friday.
