The Pella boys golf team begins competition in the Class 3A State Golf Tournament for the 11th time in the past 13 years today.

The Little Dutch qualified for state by placing second at the District Meet in Adel behind Ballard. Coach Gifford Graham says they are excited to be back at state after missing out last year, but they know it won’t be easy. Ballard is the three time defending state champions, other teams competing include Clear Lake, Decorah, Nevada, Spencer, Storm Lake, Washington, and Williamsburg. Tee off is set for noon today at The Harvester Golf Club in Rhodes and 8am tomorrow.
