After a stretch of several contests away from Pella, the Little Dutch boys soccer team returns home today to face Knoxville. Pella has faced some defensive challenges on the pitch in their last few matches, and Head Coach Mark Solomon says the team will look to firm up their defensive lineup against the Panthers.

“First and foremost, we’re looking to solidify kind of what we want to do in terms of our formation,” said Solomon. “We’ve had some recent adjustments in terms of opening up some options for goalkeeper; we’re not just relying on just one person. We’re going to put a little bit more competition on that position and see what comes out of it.”

The Little Dutch are 5-3 this season and will look to remain unbeaten in Little Hawkeye Conference play. The opening kick between Pella and Knoxville is set for 5:30 p.m. today at the Gene Van Wyk Soccer Complex, starting with a JV match first.
