Pella Boys Win Chariton Golf Invitational over Fairfield and Albia…Knoxville Fourth

In one of their final tune-ups before the post season begins the Pella boys golf team won the eight team Chariton Invitational Saturday. The Little Dutch shot a 323, seven strokes better than second place Fairfield and 18 strokes better than third place Albia who had previously beaten them twice this season. Knoxville finished fourth with a 349. Lucas Boyd of Pella was the meet medalist with an 18 hole score of 76 which consisted of a 39 on the front nine and 37 on the back nine. Pella returns to action with one final regular season triangular at Oskaloosa along with Norwalk on Tuesday, then plays in their sectional meet on Friday.
