It’s going to feel like early spring this morning for the Pella Boys golf team, when the Eagles get in a late-season tune-up on a cold, windy day in Colfax. Pella Christian Head Coach Dan Branderhorst says the tournament will get the team back in competitive mode and hopefully begin preparing them for the postseason.

“It’ll be interesting. We haven’t had practices for the last few days because of Tulip Time,” says Branderhorst. “There are several good teams at Colfax-Mingo, so that’ll be good for us, and ultimately what we’re trying to do is get ready for that big sectional tournament on Friday.”

The Eagles tee off at the Colfax-Mingo Invitational at 9:00 a.m. this morning.
