After starting the season with defense as their trademark, the Pella girls soccer team has exploded now on the offensive side of the ball, as was blatantly evident by the staggering ten goals the Lady Dutch put up against Knoxville in the first half Tuesday night. Leading the charge for Pella was sophomore forward Morgan Elzinga, who totaled four goals in the victory; including three in an eight minute flurry.

Pella girls soccer Head Coach Sam Mate-Kodjo says Elzinga’s effectiveness lies in her speed, strength, and persistent pursuit of the ball. The Lady Dutch will need that offense to keep rolling, along with solid defense to back it up, as they travel to Norwalk on Tuesday.
