A counterfeit $100 bill was passed at a Pella business this past week. The Pella Police Department tells KNIA/KRLS News that the phony bill was used to purchase items at a Casey’s General Store and was identified as a fake by a local bank. The Pella Police Department is investigating, as is the U.S. Secret Service, which is always notified in cases of counterfeit bills. Anyone who suspects they may have a counterfeit bill is encouraged to contact the Pella Police Department immediately at 628-4921.
