The Pella Wildlife Company has signed a letter of intent to acquire 188 acres near G28 and Roberts Creek to build a wildlife facility, a wildlife rehab center, and a drive-through wildlife park.

Ron DeArmond with the Pella Wildlife Company tells KNIA/KRLS News that the drive-through park will allow visitors to see animals that were in Marion County at the end of the last ice age, when the pioneers arrived, and in contemporary times.  They will be at Theisens in Pella this coming Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to to explain the project, and to allow those interested to learn about their programs.  A fundraising effort to pay for the facility is underway.
