The Pride of Iowa Conference golf meets are today, and Pleasantville is a heavy favorite in both boys and girls. Girls Coach Dan Calhoun says this is the part of the season where he expects the girls to ramp up their effort and play well in the bigger meets. Pleasantville are been shooting some very low nine-hole scores this season. Last Tuesday the Trojans shot a season-low 185 against a very good Lynnville-Sully squad. Meanwhile, Boys Coach Ted Meyers has been pleased with his team all season. He says Jerod Thill and Cotlon Furnal have been very steady all season long and hopes that will continue today. The girls will head to Corydon while the boys will travel to Southeast Warren home course.
