The coaching landscape will defiantly change when the school year begins in the fall at Knoxville. Three new fall coaches will take over sports, plus a there will be a new boys basketball coach. Monday night, the school board accepted recommendations for a new football and volleyball coach. Troy Rider will be the new football coach at Knoxville this fall. He has spent the last two years at Dowling Catholic as an assistant. Before that Rider spent time at Graceland College playing and coaching. He is a graduate of Knoxville High School. Lindsey Anderson was hired as the new volleyball coach. She started the volleyball program at the Meskawki Settlement School in Tama and played for Knoxville High School. Also, Erin Mikels resigned her position as the girls Cross Country Coach to take a job in Minnesota.
