Central College in Pella was announced Wednesday as one of the recipients of nearly $290,000 in arts grants from the Iowa Arts Council. Central was granted $9,500 for Squonk Opera to create and perform “Central College: The Opera”. The project will include research of the college and interviews with community members to help create the production.
