Central College alum and former Bos Landen Golf Resort pro Darin Fisher fell one step short in his dream of qualifying for the United States Open. Sectional qualifying took place across the country on Monday, and Fisher played 36 holes in Springfield, Ohio. He shot a 6-over par 76 in his first 18 holes and a 4-over par 74 in his second 18 holes for a total score of 10-over par 150. The winning total at the sectional was 9-under, and three others qualified for the U.S. Open with scores of 5-under par.
