A Pella man is facing multiple charges after crashing his motorcycle while attempting to outrun law enforcement early Saturday morning. 32-year-old Michael Anthony Paul is charged with Eluding Law Enforcement, among other unnamed charges.

Paul was travelling northbound on West 1st Street in Pella at excessive speeds when he lost control of his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, eventually striking a parked car in the 900 block of West 1st Street. He was hospitalized with multiple injuries related to the crash.

Additional charges may be pending in the incident, which is under investigation with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Pella Police Department. KNIA/KRLS News will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.
