The Iowa Department of Transportation closed HWY 5 south of Knoxville at English Creek at approximately 3:15PM because of water over the roadway. The Marion county Engineers Office reports that gravel roads that go over English Creek are also flooded, and will be closed until sometime Monday. All other closed roads in the county will also remained closed through Monday, even if the water recedes.
