Today is the day that the Knoxville Boys Soccer program has been dreaming about for nearly ten years. A chance to play in the state tournament. The Panthers have the task of taking on top seed Dubuque Wahlert this afternoon at 2:30. Coach Jon Smith says he knows Wahlert is a very good team, but thinks if the Panthers can keep doing the same things well, they have a shot. The match takes place at the Cownie Soccer Complex in Des Moines. Fans can send off the Panthers and wish them good luck this morning. The team is leaving the high school at 10:30 and will take the route out of town on Willetts Drive to Pleasant and hit Highway 92. Fans are encouraged to line the route and hold up signs and wish Knoxville good luck on their way to the state match.
