The Pella softball team started LHC play on a positive note with a road win at South Tama last night 3-0. Mandy Demeulenaere picked up her third win of the season pitching the distance, giving up just four hits, while striking out seven and not allowing a run. Pella had seven hits led by Lindsay Mueller who was 2-3 with two runs scored. Taylor Veenstra, Allie Demeulenaere, Rachel Greving, Mackenzie Anthony, and Rachel Van Roekel each had one hit. Pella improved to 3-3 overall and 1-0 in the Little Hawkeye Conference and gets the weekend to prepare for a big week next week where they face Grinnell Monday, Pella Christian Wednesday and Knoxville on Thursday.
