The latest forecast from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Red Rock predicts that the lake level will crest roughly four feet shy of the record just before the end of the month. The pool level is currently at 775.5 feet and is expected to rise to 778 feet by next Tuesday. That would be 36 feet above the normal conservation pool, which is 742 feet.

The record level for the water at Lake Red Rock was 782.67 feet, which came in July of 1993. Water is currently flowing in to Lake Red Rock at a rate of 40,000 cubic feet per second, while the dam is discharging 30,000 cubic feet per second.

With the in-flow rate expected to increase in the coming days, it is expected that the discharge rate will eventually increase to 40,000 cubic feet of water per second by Friday.
