The Pella Chamber of Commerce’s “Positively Pella” program has a new director. Lexi Kanis has been chosen to lead the program, which provides a variety of new resident services to people new to Pella, or those considering moving in.
“She will be touring new residents throughout our community to make sure that potential new hires like the community, as well as the job they’re coming into,” says Pella Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Karen Eischen, “and also to be a welcoming face and follow those through the process of their move and the year following their move.”
Eischen adds that Kanis brings many positive attributes to the position, which helped her stand out from the other candidates during the interview process.
“She just has a great personality, a great knowledge of the community, and brings a lot of energy and ideas,” said Eischen. “We were just really impressed with her, and I’m sure the community will be as well.”
Lexi Kanis is a Pella native and a recent graduate of Central College. She will begin working at the Pella Chamber of Commerce on June 30th.
