Knoxville Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Rural Fire Department, Knoxville Police Department and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a two vehicle accident at the intersection of East Main Street and Lake Drive in Knoxville at approximately 10:45pm Wednesday. The vehicles involved include a Mercury Cougar which came to rest in the westbound ditch of East Main Street and suffered major damage to its drivers side, and a Chrysler Pacifica that came to rest in the middle of the intersection of East Main and Lake Drive with damage to its front end. One victim was extricated and transported via ambulance to Knoxville Hospital and Clinics. KNIA/KRLS news will bring you more information as soon as it becomes official.
