One of Pella’s most recognizable attractions is in need of a few helpers. The Vermeer Windmill needs Millers to keep the windmill operating each day and to grind wheat into flour. Bonnie Verberg, Director of the Vermeer Mill and Pella Historical says Millers can be men or women, but need to be 18 or older, and would only have to volunteer for times that could fit their schedule.

An informative, orientation meeting on becoming a miller will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. in the Interpretive Center at the Vermeer Mill. Anyone with questions can call 620-9463.
