Pella Gospel Sing

The 2010 Pella Gospel Sing is coming up on Friday and Saturday, July 30th and 31st.  The concert will be held from 3:00 to 10:00 on the 30th and 10:00 to 10:00 on the 31st at West Market Park.  There will be music, food, and fun for a freewill offering that will go towards the Teen Challenge of the Midlands.  For more information, call 780-1281.

Fallen Tree Caused Power Outages in Marion County This Morning

According to MidAmerican Energy a tree fell onto a primary line shortly before 8:00 this morning causing power outages to around 150 customers in the area.

Gladys May Vander Ploeg

Funeral services for Gladys May Vander Ploeg age 97 formerly of Prairie City will be Saturday July 3 at 11:00am at the Prairie City United Methodist Church, with burial following at the Waveland Cemetery. The family will greet friends on Saturday at the church from 10:00am-11:00am. Water Release Increased as Waters Rise at Lake Red Rock
