The Pella baseball team begins a busy week today with its second crack at Oskaloosa this season. The Indians won 6-4 in Pella on June 7th, but Little Dutch Head Coach Aaron Reasland says he’s not expecting the same outcome this time through.

“We’ve got a totally different ball club than when we played them the first time,” said Reasland. We were caught in that rut where we’d win through five innings, and just completely blow up in the sixth and seventh innings. [We] lost a tight one to them at home, and so the kids are looking forward to going there. Now that we’re finishing games pretty strong down the stretch, we hope to get two in Oskaloosa.”

Today’s Varsity doubleheader at Oskaloosa is part of a week that will see the Pella baseball team play seven Varsity games in five days – including three Little Hawkeye Conference doubleheaders. Opening pitch between Pella and Oskaloosa is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. tonight in Oskaloosa. Pella is 7-6 overall and 5-4 in the conference.
