After being rained out twice now, the Pella Christian softball team has its fingers crossed that they’ll be able to return to the diamond tonight at Norwalk. The Lady Eagles last played on Wednesday, and co-Head Coach Nate Van Wyk says he is hoping for the girls to force the Warriors to respond to what Pella Christian does offensively.

“We expect to come out there and just play our game; put the pressure on them,” said Van Wyk. “We’ve got a few things that we’re going to work on that we’ve figured out, and so we just go to be the aggressor. That’s what I want to focus on is to be the aggressor and we’ll put the pressure on them and see what happens.”

Pella Christian is 7-5 overall on the season and holds a 3-2 mark in the Little Hawkeye Conference. The opening pitch of the JV/Varsity doubleheader at Norwalk is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. tonight.
