Today is the final day of preparation for the members of the Pella girls tennis team that will be competing at the Individual State Tennis Tournament. No. 1 singles player Hillary Nossaman was the regional champion, and will be paired of with Celia Morton of Dubuque Wahlert in the opening round. A perennial tennis powerhouse, Wahlert qualified two players in the singles bracket, including overall No. 1 seed Sarah Dalton.
The Lady Dutch also have a doubles team representing the team at state, as the tandem of Marah Bossard and Nicole Oliver will face a duo from Waterloo Columbus. The Class 1-A Individual State Tennis Tournament begins play at 10:00 a.m. tomorrow and Friday at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Complex on the University of Iowa Campus in Iowa City.
