An incredible ninth consecutive trip to the Class 1-A Girls State Soccer Tournament is on the line this evening for the Pella girls soccer team. Following a 3-0 defeat of Grinnell in the Regional Semifinals on Friday, the No. 12-ranked Lady Dutch will face No. 3 Union of LaPorte City in the Region 6 Finals.

Pella girls Head Coach Sam Mate-Kodjo says while he doesn’t know much about the Knights or the level of competition they faced throughout the season, he knows that his team will have to execute their game plan if they hope to win. The Pella girls soccer team kicks off their Regional Final match against Union at 6:00 p.m. tonight in Grinnell.
