A new era is about to begin at Central College, as the tenure of president Dr. David Roe has ended, and Dr. Mark Putnam will take office. Thursday will be Dr. Putnam’s first day on the job as the 21st president of Central College. Previously, Putnam had been senior vice president for executive affairs at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachutsetts. He will have some big shoes to fill, as Dr. David Roe and his wife Betsy left a great imprint on the Central community in their ten years of service to the college. Putnam was chosen to succeed Roe in mid-November of 2009.
