Sunny skies and hot, humid weather replaced the threat of rain in Thursday evening’s forecast, allowing for another well-attended “Thursdays in Pella” event. The Christian Opportunity Center sponsored “Make a Difference” night and raised funds for its foundation through the sale of pork burger meals and an auction. The event served as an opportunity for the COC to increase its visibility in the community and also to inform those in attendance about the services they provide for those with disabilities.

Another highlight of the evening was a musical performance by the popular gospel quartet “Journey Bound.” The event included a slightly older demographic than previous events, and was the first event of a two-day stretch that highlights the Christian Opportunity Center’s services.
