Through early this afternoon, Marion County has received a total of 8.39 inches of rain this month. That breaks the old record of 8.24 inches of rain that was set for the first 18 days of June in 1917. Normal rainfall for the first 18 days of June is 2.65 inches. Last year we received 2.87 inches.

In order to set a rainfall record for the month, Marion County must receive more than 12.79 inches or just over 4.4 inches more within the next 10 days, that record was set back in 1935.
