KNIA/KRLS went into Severe Weather Action Team Covereage three times Friday, including twice in the evening, as severe weather passed through the county as part of widespread storms across the state. The entire county or portions of Marion County were under a severe thunderstorm warning, tornado warning, or tornado watch throughout various portions of the morning and evening. The storms brough heavy rainfail, light hail and strong winds. The only damage reported so far involved a downed power pole north of Quebec Street on 80th Avenue near Melcher-Dallas, and high wind damage southwest of Knoxville on 94th Place.
