The Park Rangers at Lake Red Rock are hosting more programs this weekend to allow area residents a chance to enjoy the outdoors. On Friday at 7:00 p.m. Park Ranger Tracy Spry will take participants on a bird-watching hike, beginning at the Wallashuck Campground. The hike will last about an hour, and will teach people how to identify various birds by site and sound. Binoculars are encouraged, if available.

Spry will follow up the birding adventure with the popular “Creatures of the Night” hike on Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. The activity takes guests along woodland trails to look and listen for nocturnal life in the park. Both events are free, and more information is available by calling 628-8690 or 828-7522.
