A pair of programs celebrating nature and outdoor recreation are being offered Saturday at Lake Red Rock. The Marion County Conservation Board is offering a “test paddle” in canoes from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the Robert’s Creek east boat ramp for those who would like to try out the sport. Life jackets are also provided and no pre-registration is necessary.

In the evening, staff from the Pella Wildlife Company will have live foxes on display as part of a program on the lives and habits of the sly canines. “Wild Canines: Iowa’s Foxes” will begin at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the Whitebreast Amphitheatre. Both events are free to participate in.
