Pella Christian’s baseball season started with a lot of high hopes, but ended with an early first round exit from the Class 2A District Tournament with a loss to Colfax Mingo. Coach Brad Rolffs says one area the team struggled in this season was adjusting to the pitchers they faced. He says one sign the program is improving is the fact that most teams they faced threw their best pitchers at them because they knew they had to to bneat them. He says they didn’t do a good job recognizing adjustments the pitchers made as the game went on and that’s something they plan to address and focus on in the off season. The Eagles finished the season at 19-12 overall.
