Area first responders rescued 5 occupants in a boat that was stranded on Lake Red Rock last night.  Two adults and three juveniles were stranded west of the mile long bridge when their boat began taking on water after sustaining mechanical malfunctions.  The Pleasantville Fire and Rescue department put a boat in the water near the 700 block of Gear Street and brought all 5 occupants back to land safely.  Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies, the Army Corp of Engineers and Marion County Emergency Management all assisted at the scene.
