Republican gubernatorial candidate Terry Branstad will be making two campaign stops in Marion County in the next week. Branstad will walk in the Pella Independence Day parade this Saturday at 2:30pm. Next week, he will be joined by lieutenant governor nominee Kim Reynolds at a town hall meeting in Knoxville where they will discuss current economic issues in the State of Iowa. That event will be held at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum at 2:30pm July 8th and is open to the public.

Branstad served as Iowa governor from 1983 to 1999 and is running against current Democratic Governor Chet Culver in an attempt to win back the office this November.

Guests planning to attend the town hall event are asked to RSVP to Black Waggoner at 515-276-2266 or email him at bwaggoner@terrybranstad.com.
