A week-long drama camp that has been going on this week will come to a conclusion with its second, and final, production of Little Red Riding Hood Saturday morning. “Camp Creamery” has allowed youth between seven and eighteen years old to work with professional actors throughout the week and learn more about theatre.

The production of Little Red Riding Hood will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Pella Opera House. Beth Hill, Assistant Director of the Pella Opera House says the production will have some slight variations from the play many people think they know.

“It is based on the fairy tale we all know, but there are new characters and a lot of plot twists,” said Hill. “In this one, there’s a bunny, a wolf, Little Red Riding Hood – she has some best friends – but it’s not necessarily the tale we all know.”

The play will be preceded by a special program, “The Wolf that Changed America”, presented by the Pella Wildlife Company. That program begins at 6:00 p.m. Tickets to the productions are $10 for adults and $5 for children.
