Fire Chief Mike Roberts sent a request to the Knoxville City Council to approve the appointment of David Myers and Kevin Rodgers to the Fire and Rescue Department at their special meeting Monday. According to Roberts, David Myers is a highly qualified EMT who has trained with the Knoxville Fire and Rescue Department and was part of the Indiana Township Fire Department prior to his recent move to Knoxville. Roberts says Kevin Rodgers has a long history with Knoxville Fire and Rescue and previously served as the Assistant Chief and his experience and willingness to be involved is a major asset to the department. The council agreed and approved the appointments.
