The North squad dominated the South winning the 38th annual Shrine Bowl All Star football game 24-0 Saturday night at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames. The annual game features the top seniors from this past fall from across the state of Iowa split into two squads. Pella’s Blaine Forsythe was a member of the South squad and played safety and place kicker. The South squad had several turnovers in the game which aided the North in their shutout victory. Forsythe said he thoroughly enjoyed the entire week and it’s an experience he’ll never forget. Forsythe will attend Augustana, an NCAA Division II school in South Dakota to play football this coming fall.
